My mom Ruth is going to come this weekend and stay for three weeks, and Kyle and Karen are planning on staying for a week or so until we are all sure that Katie is ok. Katie's mother lives directly behind out house and will be with Katie all day as she will still need some help for a while. One of the reasons the staff gave for letting Katie go is her strong family support. This is mostly Sue, as she has been the one who has spent the most time with Katie at the hospital, and for that I am truly grateful. However, without Kyle and Karen I would not have been able to spend hardly any time with Katie, so a huge "thank you" goes out to them as well.
I also would be remiss to not add all of you. From providing dinners to constant prayer, and Target gift cards, the collective church family has been amazing. So from our family to all of you, thanks.

Wow! Should we be surprised? This has been such an amazing journey and to think God allowed us to witness this miracle! Praise His Name!!!!
Hooray! We are so excited to hear Katie is coming home! I'm sure everyone in the family is more than overjoyed. We will continue to keep Katie in our prayers, but I have to admit, I'll miss checking this blog daily for updates. Then again, no news is the best news in Katie's case.

WOO HOOO! Those malt cups really did the trick.
Yea God! You are THE MOST AWESOME! Think of all the people that God included in your story...doctors, nurses, complete strangers.
I think I'd write a thank you note to the docs and nurses...thanking them for allowing God to use them. Many of them had no idea that they were being used by God, they just figure they are doing their thing. It may sow some seeds if they realize that they were actually part of something bigger.
Just so amazing! Praise God!
All glory be to God! We are sooo happy for you guys and will continue to pray! Please keep us updated when you can.
Looking to Him,

Congratulations to your entire family! Katie has been blessed with people who believed in her strength and I believe that is what allowed her to focus on recovering. Thank you for keeping all of us who live out of state up to date. I truly appreciate it and thank you for taking such good care of Katie. You are both blessed to have each other.

wow! Our God is so amazing! I know we don't comment as much, mostly because we don't want to drive you nuts saying the same thing - but we still lift your names in prayer every single day. Our prayer requests have been turning more and more to praises lately! Praise Him who is able to do miraculous things!
