i just got a message from davey, he said there were no changes in the night and that she is doing good. i have added a new box on the right for prayer focus. hopefully this can help give us some specific things to partner with Davey in praying for Katie.

he said that every time he goes into see her, he lays hands and prays over these things for her/over her. since the same Holy Spirit lives inside of us as we pray for these, it is as if we are in the room with him--praying over her. to me, that thought is amazing!

right now there is some swelling around the surgery site, so pray that will go down so they can do surgery tomorrow to put the skull piece back on. better yet, pray for a creative miracle from God...that he will create new bone so they won't even have to perform the surgery! He created the world...he surely can give our sister a little piece of bone for her beautiful head!

thanks for all your prayers & comments....they are overwhelming.

blessings, meredith

I think we should also pray that God opens the eyes of the hospital staff so they can SEE the miracle of God happening before them, so they can see with their minds the power that the Lord has and the Love He has for His children...and the love His children have for Him.

Several in our group know Katie from Emmaus and are praying - our ladies' group is meeting now and lifting her up.

The Luethje kids have been praying for "Taylor and Aubree's mommy" before breakfast, lunch and dinner! They've also been praying that the girls and Sawyer wouldn't be scared while God is healing their mom. He does wonderful things!!! Much love....

Katie is an acquaintance of mine as she was my parents (Rick & Marilyn Hibbs) realtor a couple years ago and they know Katie's dad through Roger & Judy Kinsinger. My husband and I have been glued to this blog and our hearts go out to Katie & family. My father-in-law had a very large brain aneurysm in January (although it did not rupture), he continues to improve everyday. So we can sympathize with your situation and we are wishing for a full recovery for Katie.

Bloom family,
You are in our prayers and we know that Katie will be restored completely. As Mark S. told you Dave so does the bible tell us, "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." (Mark 11:24), it is in these words that I have full confidence that Katie will be healed and offer a supreme testimonial to Gods greatness. Our love is with you!

Just wanted to say that another person was praying for Katie's FULL recovery. I am friends with Kathy Kerwin and she sent out a prayer chain the day Katie went into the hospital. Thx for this awesome and current blog for updates. Great to know how specifically to pray.

Like an open book, you watched her grow from conception to birth,

Dear Bloom/Clarkson Families-

We've been praying for Katie's full recovery and just now specifically prayed for the prayer focus items with you. I (Michelle Mapes Loder), was in Katie's
graduating (93')class at Ankeny and my husband, Kenny,
(91'), knows Katie through the realtor/homebuilding community. We are overjoyed to hear that she is making such strides! God is good and he will take care of Katie! We will continue to follow her progress and pray for all of you! God Bless!

In Him,
Michelle and Kenny Loder
