saturday am

from davey:

Well, it could have been worse. Obviously they had to cut out a bunch, but I think they honored the spirit of the story. Oh well, good thing Katie's healing doesn't depend on my ability to do a good interview! I just want to make sure that we (mostly myself) don't get caught up in the hype and lose sight of what this is really all about, and that is God's love. It doesn't matter to God if the whole world sees what he is doing or not, he would take care of Katie even if no one was looking. He has no ego to satisfy.

However, we do bear the responsibility to make sure that when God does display his power for all to see, that we openly acknowledge and testify to what we know to be true. So, to all who read this, please understand that God is the only reason there is a story here. This is ultimately His story. My life, Katie's life, is really just a very small part of what God is doing in His kingdom. We are no more significiant than anyone else who loves and serves God with all they have (remember the widows offering Mark 12). So please, glorify God with your words, your thoughts, your LIFE.

Man do I have a face for radio or what!

Davey, Matt and I thought you did a great job. Still, the entire story brings tears to my eyes and so much hope to my heart. I can't tell you what this is doing in my life. I've been "in the wilderness" with God for so long- over 3 years now. Doubting, questioning, not feeling His presence. For the first time in years I have been on my face pleading before him in intercessory prayer for Katie. My faith is increasing. In small ways I am seeing God again. I have hope. I believe God is going to heal Katie. He is moving and lives are being touched by your story. To God be the glory.

Davey,
You did a great job, both on the radio and tv. I am so proud of you. You definitely are giving God the glory through it all. I have a "small" glimpse of what God is doing through this trial. Everyone I've talked to has expressed that we now know what it means to "pray without ceasing." As we know this wasn't just for your precious family, this is for all of us - to keep our eyes on Jesus! It has brought all of us to our knees, crying out to Him, seeking Him every moment. To God be the glory for what He is doing and will continue to do!
I love you all so much,
Ronda

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I have been praying for Katie since our realtor assoc. posted about her condition, and I kept wondering what her condition was, and although I never watch channel 5 news, I had it on last night, and i was so relieved to hear about her improvement. I know that God knows that Katie's job here is not done, especially with your 3 beautiful children. Being a mother myself, I know Katie is fighting HARD, hence her great improvement. Wish her well, and I will continue to pray for a full recovery. By the way Davey, your interview was great, even if they cut out a lot, we all got the update, and that was important!! Be Strong, and Peace to you all!

You don't know who I am, but I am a mom who was having a really bad week and someone that knew someone forwarded me your blogspot and said if you think your having a bad week, just take a look at this. My husband is a full time youth pastor and we live in Pella, Iowa. We have 3 children as well and your story has really broken me and brought me to my knees about how I have been as a wife and mother. I have taken so much for granted. Every day really. Time to change. Our family is praying for yours. God is truly a God of miracles. God must have an amazing plan for you, Katie, and your family. Thank you for sharing your story and we pray for continued healing in Katie's precious body. God bless you!

Davey,

Don't doubt for a minute that your words both on the TV and the radio are touching others and bringing them closer to Jesus. So many people heard these interviews, and through you, I believe that many will come to know Him. I think you've done an incredible job of giving Jesus the glory!! We continue to pray for all of you and are overwhelmed by what He has done already in healing her!

Love,
Brian, Shannon, Grant, and Kenzie
